Photographing at night is, for me, a space of contemplation, a space of solitude, an accelerator to enter into intimacy with what surrounds me. I thus leave in an imaginary where the boundaries of reality mix with those of my unconscious. In order to express these encounters, I use a photographic process of long exposure time, of several minutes, during which I intervene with my sources of light.

These allow me to reveal and draw landscapes on the edge of the unreal.

Festival “des rails et vous”

J'ai le plaisir de vous inviter et de vous accueillir le week end du 17-18 septembre au festival des rails et vous (entrée libre et gratuite), au Ground Control à Paris 12, sur le thème du voyage en train où j'exposerai une nouvelle série photographique :
mon coeur en hiver

Lors de ces 2 jours, vous allez rencontrer, écouter et discuter avec des passionnés du train au travers de conférences, de performances, de jeux, d'expositions artistique...
Le dimanche à 16h30, je participerai à une table ronde autour du sujet: aller à la plage en train. J'y parlerai notamment de mon périple pour aller aux îles Lofoten en Norvège.

THE ARC DE TRIOMPHE, WRAPPED by Christo and Jeanne-Claude

The first day of the “unwraping” was my unique chance to capture the beautiful art piece of Christo and Jeanne Claude ephemeral art installation. So I did not hesitate to woke up early and capture the Arc at dawn.

It was a bit tricky with the lights of the traffic but at some point I have could use it to my advantage and create a coherent light atmosphere.

Light installations will always be bewitching to the eye. From the “skyspaces” of James Turell to the neon tubes of Dan Flavin, we are consistently drawn to fluorescent light fixtures, especially when they intervene with natural landscapes. Alexis Pichot worked as interior designer in Paris for more than 10 years, during which he became sensitive to the use and manipulation of space. Later, Pichot moved his attention away from the bustle of the city into the welcoming mystery of the landscape. Marche Céleste is utterly captivating-shot in the forest of Fontainebleau, France. Deeply mystical and ritualistic, the intimate photographs re-establish us with the supremacy of nature.
